SUMMARY:South Dallas County Landfill Transfer to the City Celebration
DESCRIPTION:As the last remaining member of the South Dallas County Landfill Commission\, the City of Adel has decided to dissolve the 28E organizational structure and fold the landfill into the City as a department\, effective July 1\, 2026.  There will be no operational changes or personnel changes\, just a name change to the Adel Municipal Landfill and Recycling Center.  The change will be seamless for customers as you see the new name on signage and invoices and tickets.

LOCATION:Follow the signs and stay right on the road to the Adel Municipal Landfill and Recycling Center. Please park opposite of the scale house and shop. We will meet outside of the shop for this event. NOTE: This event will be weather permitting.
