The Adel Family Aquatic Center is always looking for certified lifeguards to guard and teach swim lessons. For more information on how or where to get certified, contact Ramona Dillinger, the Aquatics Supervisor, at rdillinger@adeliowa.gov. Must be at least 15 years old to get certified. Starting pay is $14.00/hour. Many opportunities for advancement and increased pay.

Lifeguard Class – American Red Cross blended learning course with online and in-person portions. Certification valid for 2 years upon completion. Must be 15 years of age. Cost: $175.00 for residents; $225.00 for non-residents (reimbursed if working at Adel Family Aquatic Center).

Lifeguard Review Class – Class will review lifeguarding, first-aid, CPR/AED skills and renew lifeguard certification for an additional 2 years. One day class to be held in late May.
