About Us

Big Blue Bed & Breakfast is a fully restored Victorian home in the heart of Adel, Iowa. Our guests are within walking distance of the town's restaurants and attractions. Our property is right off the popular bike trail through Adel. Guests can choose from our four available rooms named after the home's previous owners: The McCann sleeps 2; the Kester sleeps 4; the Simcoke Suite sleeps 4 with a private bedroom off a living room area; and the Attic Hideaway is a large area that sleeps up up to 11. Each room and suite has its own private full bathroom, which can be rare for a B&B.

Our guests wake up to a delicious breakfast. We serve full breakfasts which can include eggs, quiche, pancakes, pastries, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, and more! Our owner, Laurie is a former baker, so her recipes are quite the treat! We do our best to accommodate everybody when we're notified in advance of food allergies, preferences, etc.
